Amara Momoh

Amara Momoh (MPH)

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Amara is a biostatistician with experience in research design, data management, monitoring and evaluation, analysis and reporting, with a strong focus on evidence-based solutions. He has worked on a wide range of research, public health, and livelihood initiatives and he is currently a Research Associate at Impact Data Lab Sierra Leone(IDL-SL). Amara has led and contributed to major projects with recognized national and international organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO), National Public Health Agency (NPHA), Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), and the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society (SLRCS). In his leadership role, he combines technical expertise with strategic vision to support impactful, data-driven decision-making. He holds a first-class Bachelor's degree in Public Health and finalizing his postgraduate studies in Public Health (MPH), specializing in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Njala University.

Alimatu Bangura

RESEARCH ANALYST

Alimatu is a public health and nursing professional currently serving as a Research Analyst at Impact Data Lab Sierra Leone. She brings a unique blend of clinical and field research experience, with a strong commitment to data-driven solutions for health system improvement. Alimatu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Njala University and a Certificate in Nursing (SECHN) from College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS), University of Sierra Leone and Finalizing her Postgraduate course in Public Health Medicine at Njala University.
Before joining Impact Data Lab, she worked in key clinical roles, including as a Nursing Officer at Connaught Hospital’s Trauma and Outpatient Units and as a Community Health Nurse at Macauley Government Hospital. She has also contributed to large-scale data collection and research projects with leading organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), ICAP, and Save the Children. Alimatu is passionate about using research to inform policy and improve health outcomes, especially for vulnerable populations.

Amara Momoh

Emmanuel Alpha Amara

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Emmanuel is a research and data collection specialist currently serving as a Research Associate at Impact Data Lab Sierra Leone. He brings over 5 years of experience and a strong background in field research, GIS mapping, and public health research, with hands-on experience supporting evidence generation for program and policy impact.

Emmanuel has contributed to research projects with leading national and international institutions including the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), Hellen Keller International, and the Ministry of Health and Sanitation. His roles have ranged from team lead and researcher to GIS field mapping assistant, supporting initiatives on malaria surveillance, vaccine uptake, adolescent health, and spatial mapping for disease surveillance.

He is passionate about using accurate, community-level data to support informed decision-making and strengthen health systems, especially in underserved areas.

He holds a First Class Bachelor's degree in Public Health and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, specializing in Biostatistics and Epidemiology both from Njala University.
